A passenger plane carrying 62 people crashed in the outskirts of São Paulo, Brazil, on Friday, according to the country's Civil Aviation Authority. The plane, flight 2283, fell in the city of Vinhedo, Voepass Linhas Aéreas said. Fire and smoke could be seen rising from the crash site.
The cause of the crash is not yet known. Authorities are investigating.
