The Philadelphia 76ers extended their winning streak to five games on Sunday, December 25, with a 119-112 victory over the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
Joel Embiid led the way for the 76ers with 35 points and 10 rebounds, while Tyrese Maxey added 25 points and Tobias Harris chipped in with 23. Jalen Brunson paced the Knicks with 30 points, followed by RJ Barrett with 23 and Julius Randle with 18.
The 76ers led by as many as 16 points in the second half, but the Knicks fought back to cut the lead to just three points with less than two minutes remaining. However, the 76ers were able to hold on for the win, thanks in part to some key free throws from Embiid and Maxey.
With the victory, the 76ers improve to 20-13 on the season, while the Knicks fall to 18-16.
